NeuroStill™
NeuroStill™ is a structured, hands-on session designed to support your nervous system in shifting toward rest and regulation, without effort, processing, or performance.
Developed through a synthesis of Reiki-informed presence and neuroscience-based understanding of autonomic regulation, NeuroStill™ uses slow, predictable touch, rhythmic sequencing, and intentional stillness to reduce sensory demand and increase signals of safety in the body.
There is nothing you need to do.
No breathing techniques to follow.
No emotional exploration required.
You rest. Your body leads.
The session moves through a specific full-body protocol designed to:
Lower muscular guarding
Reduce sympathetic activation (“fight or flight”)
Support parasympathetic settling (“rest and restore”)
Decrease cortical over-engagement
Increase felt safety through predictable touch
As someone trained in neuroscience, I approach this work with deep respect for how the autonomic nervous system functions. NeuroStill™ does not claim to “reset” or “treat” the nervous system. Instead, it creates the conditions under which regulation can occur naturally.
Many clients describe:
A quieting of mental noise
Slower breathing
A grounded or heavy sensation
Gentle warmth or softening
Deep relaxation or sleep
NeuroStill™ is a passive, bottom-up support session not psychotherapy, not trauma processing, and not medical treatment.
Sessions are 75 minutes and always guided by consent, pacing, and comfort.
FAQ
-
NeuroStill™ integrates Reiki’s presence-based principles but adds a structured, neuroscience-informed full-body protocol. The sequencing, pacing, and movement patterns are intentional and grounded in autonomic physiology.
While Reiki is typically non-sequenced and intuitive, NeuroStill™ follows a specific regulation-based structure.
-
It includes elements of gentle massage and feather-light touch, but it is not a traditional massage therapy session. The intention is not muscular manipulation — it is nervous system settling.
Pressure is light to moderate and always adaptable.
-
NeuroStill™ does not intentionally induce emotional release or trauma processing. The focus is safety and settling. If emotions arise naturally, they are held with neutrality and without interpretation.
This is a regulation session — not a processing session.
-
We do not directly stimulate or manipulate the vagus nerve. Rather, the session supports parasympathetic engagement indirectly by reducing sensory demand, slowing rhythm, and increasing perceived safety.
The body shifts when it feels safe — not when it is forced.
-
You will lie comfortably on a treatment table. The session begins supine (face up) and later transitions to prone (face down), unless adaptations are needed.
You may notice:
Heaviness or floating
Muscle softening
Digestive sounds
Subtle temperature shifts
Sleepiness
All responses are normal.
-
NeuroStill™ is gentle and adaptable, but certain conditions require modification.
Please inform your practitioner if you have:
Recent surgeries
Acute injuries
Severe osteoporosis
Pregnancy
Significant cardiovascular conditions
Active infections
Complex trauma history involving touch
Your comfort and consent guide every session.
-
Some people benefit from a single session. Others choose regular sessions to support ongoing regulation.
We can discuss what feels supportive for you.

✔ Feel mentally overloaded
✔ Want support reconnecting with your body
✔ Prefer a passive approach (no talking required)
✔ Are looking for adjunctive support alongside therapy
NeuroStill™ may not be the best fit if you:
